Are siblings trusted to hold baby standing, sitting, or lying down? For siblings under 5 years of age we recommend they practice lying down holding baby next to them for a photo at home before shoot day.

Do you have a favorite theme in mind to include? (For example, bears, careers, sports teams, airplanes, guitar, baseball, cowboy, ballerina, cultural, butterflies, flowers etc.)

Do you have any props or sentimental items to include in the session? (avoid outfits if possible, wraps and birthday suits work best for newborn photography) Most common are wedding dress, bibles, signs, name blankets, guitars, dad's uniforms etc

What colors do you want in your session? (whites, neutrals, tans, pinks, purple, dark blues, light blues, dark greens, light greens, etc)

Which lighting style collection do you prefer, dark and moody or light and airy?

Favorite caps? (Girl bonnet, sleepy cap, boy bonnet, bear bonnet, headbands, or no caps please)

Name your favorite poses and pick two props you'd like included in your session (note: Not all poses and props will be best for every baby or guaranteed) Your photographer is trained to know best and will accomodate as much as possible. Colors may be different than sample photos.

Does mom or baby have any health issues, special needs or assistance for the shoot that photographer should be aware of to make the session more comfortable and accessible? (example: baby dislocated shoulder or mom had c-section and needs to stay seated etc)

I promise to keep baby on their normal eating and sleeping schedule then exactly 30 minutes before session start time, no more and no less, I will change them into a clean diaper, feed baby to a full tummy, burp them and put them in their carseat with only a diaper on, pacifier, and blankets to keep warm. I acknowledge that the success of the session is highly dependant on this method.
