DO sign a contract.
A professional photographer should always provide a written contract that clearly outlines what's included, payment terms, cancellation policies, and a guaranteed deadline for delivering your gallery. If there's no contract, walk away.
DON'T book based on price alone.
Your wedding photos are one of the few things you'll have forever. The cheapest option isn't always the best value, and replacing missed moments is impossible.
DO make sure they're insured.
Professional liability and equipment insurance protect both you and your photographer. Many venues even require proof of insurance.
DON'T assume everything is included.
Ask exactly what comes with your package, including hours of coverage, number of photographers, engagement sessions, travel fees, digital images, albums, and editing.
DO choose someone you genuinely like.
